Obesity is a complex disease. A very visual disease compared to most. We may not know if someone lives with Type 2 Diabetes by looking at them but we certainly can see someone who lives with obesity.
When someone receives treatment, they may look like they do not live with obesity anymore.
Weight regain however is very common and someone who lives with obesity still can live with the same hormonal, biological, hereditary challenges they have had all along.
They still will face every day having to cope, plan and adapt in order to try and manage this disease.
The majority of people living with obesity will say that quality of life and functionality is more important than how they look.
